Over the years, our Hula & Craft Workshops have offered a wide range of classes from traditional oli to hula ʻauana to lei making, poi pounding and so much more. Participants have the opportunity to spend 2.5 hours in each workshop immersing themselves in the Hawaiian/Polynesian culture and learning from world renowned Kumu Hula and Master Artisans. See a list of our Kumu who have taught at our workshops.

Following a fun-filled day of workshops, our participants return to join the rest of the community for the Pāʻina (Hawaiian style party). Attendees enjoy an evening full of ʻono food, kanikapila music, hula, friends and liquid aloha (beer garden). We’ve heard there may be a few exceptional hula sisters and brothers coming to dance impromptu style along with a musician or two playing classic Hawaiian tunes, Kanikapila style! Wear your best Aloha attire, adorn yourself with lei and flowers (fresh if you have!), and feel free to get up to dance and join in on the festive the fun. This is one party you donʻt want to miss! See you there!

Friday is day 2 and our last day of Hula & Craft Workshops. By the end of the workshop day, our participants have had the opportunity to take up to four 2.5 hour workshops. Workshop attendees often leave the workshop feeling exhilarated and ready to share all their learnings with the public the next day at Hōʻike. After the last block of workshops, we arenʻt done yet - in fact we are just getting started! Once we wrap up our workshops, the festival makes its way to Esther Short Park in Downtown Vancouver.

In the past, we have had many hula dancers grace our stage for a Hapa Haole Hula Competition on Friday evening but last year in 2021, we kicked off the weekend full of festivities with a Concert in the Park featuring 12x award winning band & Mauiʻs very own EKOLU! This year we will continue into the second year of having our Concert in the Park featuring KAPENA! Like all of our events at 4 Days of Aloha, our Aloha Friday Concert welcomes all ages. VIP concert passes are available for ages 21+. The park will be filled with live music, hula, ʻono food, shopping vendors, and aloha vibes all around! Donʻt wait, buy your tickets now!
